Kids Say:

“A fun game but it gets boring pretty fast. The feel of the pieces in your hand is the best part of the game.”

“I used to like Splendor, but I must have had a bad experience, because now I think it is literally the worst game in the world ever invented. It’s frustrating how you never get the cards you want.”

Adults Say:

“You can teach this game in 30 seconds, and yet it’s engaging enough that I’ve played it over 100 times (mostly on my phone) and never get sick of it. I can’t understand why the kids aren’t into it. I’m going to assume the problem is with them, not the game. It’s such a simple concept, and yet there is no single winning strategy. This is most noticeable when you play against the AI in the app version. Rather than have an easy, medium, and hard level, the AI players just employ different strategies, and I am equally likely to win (or lose) against all of them.”
